Fundraising

When I thought of fundraising I thought, “piece of cake”. Boy was I wrong! Let me tell you the humility, patience, and work it takes. Going into my third month of fundraising I am proud to say I am 35% funded on my monthly support! YAY!

My start up on the other hand… needs some work. I will admit, $13,500 is a lot of money. BUT I am so confident God is going to provide. Whenever I start to worry about the funds I can feel the Lord saying, “Keanna. Can you stop thinking about money? This is not about the money”. And so I go from there, trusting that God called me and He will get me there.

So what more do I need? If 10 people committed to $150 a month, I would be considered fully funded. PLUS, When people start their monthly giving now, every month paid until I get to the field counts toward my start up. Which honestly is huge blessing. This means people who support me monthly actually get to support my start up too! I still am in need of around $10,000 for my start up costs. It really feels heavy at times but I am so excited to watch the Lord work a miracle.

On a more personal note, I could use some prayer. Fundraising is a full-time job. It is a lot of phone calls, emails, FaceTime session and a heck of a lot of sitting with Jesus (this is can’t really complain about). However, I still work my secular full-time job. And if you know me, you know I practically live at work. So you could say i’m a little burnt out. I know I will need to start transitioning out of work soon. This is something i’m so scared of doing, if i’m being honest. With all this being said, please pray for:

  1. The appropriate amount of weekly rest while balancing life.

  2. A smooth transition out of my secular job that I love so much.

  3. FUNDING. That God would use me even now through conversations about The Great Commission.

If you have any questions on how to give, shoot me an email. Or if you have my phone number you can call me!

Xoxo,

Keanna
